External Landscaping & Driveway Works

Permeable Tarmac and Resin-Bound Driveway Installation

As part of the external landscaping package, we successfully delivered a large-scale permeable driveway and paving installation designed to provide both long-term durability and effective surface water management.

The works included the construction of approximately 380m² of permeable driveway, formed using a well-compacted MOT Type 3 open-graded sub-base, followed by permeable tarmac and finished with a high-quality permeable resin-bound gravel system. This build-up was selected to support sustainable drainage performance while creating a clean, hard-wearing and visually refined finish.

In addition, we installed approximately 420m² of permeable paving, carefully laid to achieve a consistent finish, strong structural performance and practical everyday use. The permeable paving system was designed to complement the wider external layout while supporting drainage and reducing surface water run-off.

To complete the landscaping scheme, we carried out soft landscaping works including the planting of trees, shrubs and hedging, helping to soften the external areas, improve visual appeal and create a more welcoming outdoor environment.

Together, these works provided a high-quality, functional and attractive external finish, combining robust construction methods with considered landscaping detail.

Bespoke Carport Construction

As part of the wider external works package, we delivered the construction of a bespoke car port designed to complement the surrounding landscaping and provide a practical, durable covered parking area.



The car port was formed using gabion stone-filled basket walls, creating a strong and visually distinctive structure that blends naturally with the external environment. The rear wall was constructed in timber, adding warmth and contrast to the design, while the roof was completed with a corrugated sheet covering to provide weather protection and long-term functionality.

The works also included the continuation of the surrounding permeable paving, resin-bound driveway finish, turfing and soft landscaping, ensuring the new car port was fully integrated into the overall external layout.

Permeable Tarmac & Resin-Bound Driveway Installation

This stage of the works shows the construction process during the installation of the permeable tarmac base, followed by the application of the resin-bound gravel finish.



The permeable tarmac was laid as part of the driveway build-up to support effective drainage and provide a strong, durable base for the final surface. Once prepared, the resin-bound finish was installed over the top, creating a smooth, attractive and hard-wearing driveway surface.

Green Landscaping Area, Boundary Fencing & Footpath Works

This area was levelled and prepared to create a new green landscaped space, improving both the appearance and usability of the external area.



The works included the installation of new quality topsoil, followed by freshly laid turf to form a clean and attractive lawn finish. A new timber boundary fence was also installed, providing privacy, definition and a neat finish to the landscaped area.

Additional finishing works included the installation of tiles to the top of the retaining walls, creating a more refined and durable.

Turfing, Boundary Wall Repairs & External Finishing Works

This area was carefully prepared and improved as part of the wider external landscaping package, creating a cleaner, more practical and visually appealing outdoor space.



The works included full ground preparation followed by the installation of new turf. Paving slabs were also installed to improve access. The existing boundary wall was restored through brick cleaning, repointing and Helibar crack stitching. Additional works included the construction of new steps and rendering to the retaining wall, finished with coping tiles. To complete the area, a gravel footpath was formed.

Skylight Waterproofing, Decking, Sedum Roof & Patio Tile Installation

This area was completed as part of the external terrace and skylight works, combining waterproofing, safety detailing and high-quality finishing to create a durable and visually refined outdoor space.



The works included the application of waterproof protection using the Cure It GRP roofing system, with the surface prepared and primed using Cure It concrete primer prior to installation. Heavy-duty flashing was installed around the edges.

Around the skylight, we installed 300mm wide composite decking to form a clean and practical perimeter detail. The internal section was infilled with sedum roof planting and decorative stones. A 1.2m high wire rope balustrade system was installed around the skylight.

The wider patio area was upgraded with a waterproof concrete base, carefully prepared to receive the new porcelain paving. The tiles were installed across the full area to create a clean, modern and durable finish.
